Bridge Day 2010: A GREEN Success

Fayetteville, WV-Bridge Day 2010 can be marked in the history books. The event that took place on Saturday, 10/16/10, attracted over 100,000 visitors to the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayetteville, WV. This was also the first time in history that ALL official Bridge Day shirts were made 100% out of recycled materials AND 100% made in the U.S.A.

SustainU and Bridge Day worked together to create the first ever Green Bridge Day Label. This was the only shirt for Bridge Day 2010, and SustainU completely SOLD OUT at the event. Therefore, the Green Bridge Day Label was a vital first step in making Bridge Day into a national and international Green Festival. Not to mention,  that this is a necessary move in the right direction to make WV more sustainable and eco-friendly.

The Herald Dispatch featured an article last week that focused on the relationship between SustainU and Bridge Day 2010.
